Tencent x French Guimet Museum New Cultural Creativity Exhibition

(腾讯x法国吉美博物馆:新文创主题展)

"China New Cultural and Creative Industries" Theme Exhibition Unveiled at the Guggenheim MuseumAs one of the collaborative initiatives, Tencent and the Guggenheim National Asian Art Museum jointly unveiled the "China New Cultural and Creative Industries" theme exhibition on the eve of the Spring Festival, showcasing the cultural customs of "Spring Festival," creative works by Chinese youth based on traditional cultural IP, and representative works integrating Tencent's fusion of technological elements with traditional culture.

At the exhibition site, in the Forbidden City area, visitors will appreciate the excellent works born from the "Ancient Paintings Singing" Next Idea Music Innovation Competition, experiencing the artistic conception of combining millennium-old paintings with digital music. The popular comic "Echoes of the Forbidden City" produced by the Next Idea Comic Competition tells the touching story of the Forbidden City personnel protecting national treasures during the war. In the Dunhuang area, the "Dunhuang Poetry Scarf" is based on the murals of the Mogao Grottoes, integrating eight major thematic elements and over 200 detailed elements. Users can design patterns on the WeChat mini-program, and even produce scarves to wear for the New Year, experiencing the beauty of Dunhuang in daily life. In the "Chinese Red - The Inspiration of Rouge" exhibition area, themed on color, it interprets the new vitality generated by traditional "Chinese Red" in cultural creativity. In the gaming area, "The Fifth Great Invention," collected by the Guggenheim National Asian Art Museum, was also showcased.

The exhibition content on the historical customs of the "Spring Festival" is equally rich, including family portraits, lucky money, reunion dinners, and the Tencent-innovated "WeChat Red Packets," which integrate millennium-old red envelope culture with mobile payment for the first time, vividly presenting the New Year's folk customs. Overseas Chinese and foreign friends visiting the exhibition can jointly experience the integration of ancient and modern Chinese New Year and its cultural connotations through a series of interactive installations.
